2.00 pm ‘Dedication of a Stone Seat in Memory of the late Brigadier CTW Gough OBE’ – 1911-2001, L/Bdr Artificer at West Blockhouse Fort and Battery 1931-1935 – led by The Revd Dennis Wight, vicar of Dale Parish Church involving Bishop J Ivor Rees, former Bishop of St David’s, local, military and ex-service members with Honoured Guest Mrs Olive Gough [widow] and History Group members. Family members, ex-colleagues, friends, WI members, members of the community, and those involved in the construction of the stone seat and in the day’s celebrations were also guests.
2.45 pm Guided tour of the Fort with Ruth Davies, Regional Property Manager Landmark Trust

Biennial award. Jean Thomas and Mil Reynolds attended the Presentation of Awards and lunch. Dale W.I. received a Commendation for “Historical Interpretation of the Village of Dale”.
