What’s in the Heritage Centre?

There is an exhibition on at present “St Brides – a History” to accompany the launch of the St Brides village leaflet also available at The Old Stables heritage Centre.                     

The Old Stables Heritage Centre is open

June – October  – Thursday – Sunday 2.00 pm -5.00 pm

October – June –  by appointment.

The Old Stables Heritage Centre houses Coastlands Local History Group (CIO)’s archive. All these documents are available to members of the History Group and the general public when the Heritage Centre is open. Members of the public are able to use these resources to follow their own line of research. The Old Stables Heritage Centre is manned by volunteers who are only to happy to help visitors, answer questions and find documents if available.  The archive catalogue is available on this website.

The Old Stables Heritage Centre also houses a propeller from Wellington Bomber HX384 of 304(Polish) Sqd RAF, which crashed on take off from RAF Dale in 1942. The propeller was received by the group during ceremonies on 12th August 2015, the 73rd anniversary of the crash.
